Think Beyond and the FSB put diversity on the North West map
Firstly, last night saw Think Beyond’s “Women in Enterprise” series travel to Chester. Held with the Federation of Small Businesses (FSB), Monday night’s Chester Women in Enterprise event was the third and final instalment of 2019. It aims to support female entrepreneurs and businesswomen.
Similar to the June event in Manchester and the more recent September date in Liverpool, Chester Women in Enterprise attendees heard from two female business owners. These ladies explored the challenges of and inspirations behind their own ventures.
The night had two special guest speakers. Firstly, Mercè Cozens, founder of Think Beyond. Secondly, Yvette Hastings, founder of NovaNutri and FSB Merseyside and Cheshire area lead
Both ladies spoke openly about the transition from full time employee to entrepreneur in an interview by Simon Edmondson and Phil McCabe from the FSB. The two women’s journeys were met with admiration from the crowd and people were quick to praise their passion and honesty.
Attendees also enjoyed informal networking and nibbles in the relaxed surroundings of Veeno.
Women in Enterprise organisers share thanks for successful networking series
Mercè commented: “It has been my absolute pleasure and honour to co-host the “Women in Enterprise” series.”
“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the Manchester, Liverpool and Chester events.”
“I would also like to say a special thank you to our guest speakers whose stories have inspired and educated.”
“Finally, none of this would have been possible without the kind support of the FSB. Thank you to membership advisor Simon Edmondson and his team for making “Women in Enterprise” a reality.”
Simon added, “The FSB is actively campaigning for a cultural change towards diversity in business. We are delighted to have worked alongside Mercè on the “Women in Enterprise” series and look forward to working with her again on future collaborations.”
